Hi All

I was curious to know if anyone have/had found a solution for hair loss.I notice this especially among the guys.Am not sure if its due to the water mix up from various states we have been living in the states or to the food intakes which has been changed due to our move to here in US.

If its heredity esp if the maternal uncles are bald..then we can understand but what if every other person in da family seemed to be having perfectly healthy hair except for those who are here.

Kindly do pour in your cure or suggestions regarding this as many including myself have been thinking abt it quite lately.

Sri,

There is cure for hair loss. Herdity just play a factor. Some people beleive if you used a lot of mustard oil when you were child, hair will remain healthy longer.

My personal theory:-

1. Maintain generally good health. Good health helps to keep healthy hair.

2. Don't use too many cheminals like Shampoo often - just use plain water for washing except twice a week use a good shampoo.

3. Take things easy..I did notice that people who worry more tend to loose hair. Also I have noticed carefree people tend to have long healthy hair.

But I am no specialist and not a doctor. These are just plain obvervations.

Thank you A for your response..Stress does plays a major factor is hair loss even in hair greying...
I believe good health comes in the form of good exercise regime as well..even streching exercises like yoga n pilates are good.

There were many info which I had come across..hair clinic n so on..where they charge almost 3000-5000 USD per person.
Sometimes this things comes without warranty

I even know some who actually shaved their entire hair off as they were so frustrated with the hair loss issue
am also curious if remedies n cures various for asian scalps where we includes a diff diet compared to etc

as we dig furthermore..i guess more drops will pour in..

thx anyway

Happy ad navrathri to all

Sri,

IMHO, one shoudl not spend 3K to 5K at hair clinic. There is NO PROVEN cure for hair loss or NO PROVEN method to regrow lost hair.

I agree with you on Pliates and Yoga. Also Cardio and weights are good. However there is a general link between exercise and good health. However there is no direct link between excercise and reduction in hair loss.

I never though of diet - I never heard a particual food is good for hair or not....but I don't pay attention to a lot of things.

I have reduced shampooing to twice a week. I wash my hair every day but shampoo twice a week. I also had dandroff and got rid of it using a good dandroff shampoo for few days. These steps have reduced hair loss and the remaining hair is worth the gold!!

Having shorter hair helps the looks. Shaving is a little extreme.

Sri...I used to loose lot of hairs during my very initial years in USA..that is because of high chlorine content in water and abundant availability of hot water...As years passed my body got adjusted and hair loss stopped...For men/women shedding hairs at some interval is very natural but if it continues for long time then we need to check with Doctor and get few tests done.

We need to have very enriched and balanced diet...Eat lots of veggies/multi grains/proteins...and exercise well...one time weekly massage with oil will do lot good...Get away from stress.

Avoid all chemicals on hairs...go for herbal hair care...Don't use hair dryer and other electrical gadgets to treat hairs.

There are few Ayurvedic oils which are effective but you need to have faith and patience.

I agree with LFC about certain medical conditions...especially thyroid dysfunction can lead to hair loss as well as some problems with other hormones (testosterone, cortisol, etc)...while i completely agree with A's and LFC's recommendations, if it persists, you may want to get these other things checked out as well...take care! Sri,

I got an idea for you. You hire me to tell wonderful stories to relieve your stress. This will help in two ways... wonderful episodes will reduce the strees, you bank balance will reduce which will further reduce your stress....

Penn,

Nice one. Jumping out of the window is one kind of strees reliever...jump out of window, come back and jump again...you will burn 50 Calories...Keep doing it ....Excercise (Cardio) is the best stress reliever.

Penn,

If she/he jumps from first floor window and keep doing - that is exercise and excercise relieves stress.

If she/he jumpes from 3rd Story window - that relieves the stress for good. No more worries about hair or anyhing else.
