Are restaurants allowed to post in "Upcoming Events"? Don't want that section to become an extension of classifieds section.

I agree, Restrict restaurants to either paid or free classified ad zone only. If religious celebrations are free in restaurants then exception can be made.:P

Any event will have cost associated with it and also it may benefit few. Even an event at temple is mainly for fund raising for the temple. Anything meant for publice, should be allowed to posted in events. After all these websites primary intent is traffic not just few posters all the time.

It is peculiar to find a menu change listed as an upcoming event. Where do you go from there? An event for changing the level of spice in the eggplant curry? Additions such as this, if done often, will undermine the purpose of an upcoming events section.

I think Management should offer the policing freelancer job to some one in forum. They keep watching all entries in apna triangle and remove the ones which are not in the interest of majority.

Remember, there used to be one more section but after blogs are back that slot is gone...may be a some technical changes are needed ...but I agree - restaurant ads should not be placed in event section.

what if there are sub segments for events. Restaurants, Temples, Function Halls, Homes, Concert Halls, Online etc
So valuable time of some viewers will not be wasted. They can ignore restaurant sections all the time.

Dear All,

Thank you for getting this to our attention.

LFC noticed right. As soon as the blog section was pulled on the homepage, we lost that place for the featured ads.We will work on, where to place the restaurant ads.

Thank you for your suggestion.

The current listing on the home page spans a five month time period. I don't think there are enough listings to break them up into sub-categories.

If a featured ad is different from a classified ad, and important to AT's business model, then you have a couple of options:

1. Earmark the upper section of upcoming events for featured ads and the lower section for events (with sub-headings identifying the two sections).
2. Split classifieds into paid and free. Paid go on top with free ads following paid ads.
