TOPIC: Experience with Italian Visa Application procedure

Hello, I am an Indian student at NCSU, and I have recently received a job offer from a company in Italy. I was wondering if anyone on this forum has had experience of either traveling to Italy on a long-term non-tourist visa, or knows someone who has done it. The visa application procedure for that country is very confusing, and I was wondering if I could consult someone who has experienced the process before.
