TOPIC: Wire Transfer to India

I would like to transfer amount to India. I heard there is an option of Wire transfer through which the money can be sent within a day. Can someone explain me the process and whether the service charges will be more or not.

Western Union offers quick transfers and you can find in Harris Teeter, Indian stores... I have done it couple of times and they are expensive and I think it is about 2%. Money will be available in hours. Check out www.westernunion.com

Another option would be to use www.xoom.com/

It's surely cheaper than WireTransfer and can be done completely online, money will available in the bank a/c within 24-48hrs.

There are other choices of delivery method also.

I have personally used it couple of times and am pretty satisfied.
