TOPIC: Tips needed for making clay Ganesha idol

Im planning to make clay Ganesha at home this year..can we get good clay here?
has any one tried making it with play doh?

did you mean like stepping out and digging clay around here? i don't know about that. if you meant buying it, i am sure there are places here or net where you can buy it. ask cary town's arts center, for more local information. they have a pottery section.

try (919) 469-4069. they moved from jordan hall to the new arts center. i think they sell clay, maybe $5 per lb.

Thank you Pulp! I will try my luck with it. Ofcourse I dint mean to dig clay! wanted to know places to buy it. Is there any special kind of clay that is needed for this purpose? I have never tried it before. so just curious to know..
