Parker's Creek at Jordan Lake
We visited Parker's creek at Jordan Lake today and I like to share information for the benefit of anyone planing to visit. I felt it has slightly peaceful beach than the other crowded beaches in Jordan Lake. It is about 20 minutes from Apex and it is about 30 minutes from Morrisville or Cary.
Entrance is $6 per vehicle and there are about 40 picnic areas. 20 of the picnic area have BBQ pit. All the essentials like restrooms and showers are present near the beach.
Swimming and Beach
The swimming area is good enough and had about 100 people when I visited on a Saturday weekend. The sand is good and water is OK. They have a barrier and it is about five feet deep at the barrier. Kids can play easily as it is shallow near the beach. This beach can get crowded by afternoon, so hit it early if you like some quiet time. There's also a nice children's playground.
Directions
The entrance to Parker's Creek is on US 64. Traveling west on US 64, go over the bridge on Jordan Lake. The entrance is on the right immediately after the bridge.
Jordan Lake is big and it is as large as the entire city of Cary, NC. Sitting down at one of the shore and watching over the water is very relaxing.
Please let others know about havign a fun summer day.
