TOPIC: Parents visiting for second time

Hi,

My parents are travelling to US for second time, they have 10 year multiple entry visitor visa
It would be great if anyone can please answer below query
Are there any documents that I need to send from here or my parents need to carry (property, bank stmts etc) for second trip to US.

Technically there is no requirement but to be on safe side send the same set of papers especially latest bank statement to indicate no change in your financial status since the last visit. If you are expecting a baby then ask them not to say that as reason of their second visit as I know a parent on a multiple tourist visa was refused entry when they innocently said that they will take care of the new born while their daughter is at work.

Kindly check their visa & passport expiry dates.

If they had overstayed, by any chance or for any reason, during their first visit - then get their visa re-stamped as overstaying invalidates the visa.

Also, request them not to carry any spices or edible items from India - RDU invariably asks most of the Indian visitors to open their luggage - it's a hassle for the parents after a 24hr flight. Make their trip a pleasant experience.

My mother came 2nd time last week only from Ahmedabad to Washington and basically the Immigration officer only ask below questions:

1) How long you want to stay?
2) Who is here of yours?

And thats it.
