TOPIC: places to visit in DC

we planned a trip to DC this weekend with my parent and kids.
some of the places in our list r whitehouse,Lincoln Memorial,Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum .are there any other best places to visit

Like you listed and some more:

1. WhiteHouse
2. Lincoln Memorial
3. War Memorial
4. Washington Monument
5. Double-Decker/Open-Top Night Tour
6. National Air&Space Museum

Depending on your hotel, you might have to board a metro - ask the hotel front-desk, they'll have all the info. At the metro station, ask the attendant for any help.

You want to visit the Air&Space Museum (indoor) in the afternoon since it's going to be very hot this weekend. If it's still not late, you might want to postpone it due to the heat-wave across the nation.

You got good list to start. But IMO, do not miss Annapolis and George Town. And take a night cruise.

Yes, tourist should go to Miami. It's cooler in Miami - high in low 90s.

I bet his/her parents and kids will love the beach

Don't miss the Natural history Museum and walk on the National Mall..
Baltimore is not too farway . Aquarium is nice

You should do it later, when the temps are lower.

While you were there, you could have smacked them politicians fighting like kids over the deficit and raising the debt ceiling.

This is where they can learn from India. Raise the ceiling, take your cut, go home.
