TOPIC: Hasya Kavi Sammelan 2009

Hello Friends,

I had been to Kavi Sammelan yesterday. It was very humorous. I attended the Kavi sammelan for the first time and enjoyed every moment I stayed. I strongly feel people who missed this show should attend next time. It was simple hindi that everyone could understand. I am really impressed with Dr.Sudha Dhingra's determination and hard work to save the language. I personally thank her and the volunteers of the Hindi Vikas mandal for the great efforts on making this event successful.

Great Professionals established poets like Dr. Surendra Dube, Sardar Manjeet Singh and Shri Rajendar Rajan were there to make us laugh every moment.

Little Introduction about the Humorous poets.

Dr.Surendra Dubey of Chhattisgarh is a leading artist in India who has entertained and awakened the conscience of milions of people with his humor containing a deep penetrating satire. Writer of 6 books and 3 CDs to his credit, Dr. Dubey is a maestro of haasya-vyang. This is his second trip to the US.

Sardar Manjit Singh of Haryana is a talented Haasya Kavi. Writer of 6 books and 2 CDs to his credit, Manjit Singh is a recognized star in India. From the posdium, he will make you laugh and laugh and deliver the serious message that will be remembeared for a long time to come. This i s his second trip to US as well.

Shri Rajendra Rajan of Uttar Pradesh is a gifted poet. Rajan's forceful voice with an equally effective message leaves the audience spellbound willng to listen to him more. He has 2 books to his credit. This was his first trip to the US.

I am very sorry, I could not record Sri Rajendra Rajan performance since I ran out of battery in my camera. But his performance was amazing with the heart touching Geets.

Now I know what I missed . I loved the video, amused by their witty recitations/poetry.
Amazing job Dr. Shudha Dhingra and the volunteers of the Hindi Vikas Mandal, and not to forget Apna Triangle for putting it up for all its viewers.

This was the best Indian Program I attended in my 10 years of living in Cary. I don't remember when I laughed more. It was a refreshing change from looking at kids dancing at multiple same Hindi songs in span of 2 minutes. I like the humor and message in the humor. Though I could not attend the complete program, I laughed for days even after I left the temple.

Thanks to organizers. I am impressed by perfect Hindi of some of the organizers.
