There was short play about Swamy Vivekananda. I personally felt that it was not that great. There were 3 different scenes in such a small play and too much time spent on setting the stage with arrangements. In additional there were numerous technical difficulties with audio. I can understand the difficulty in providing many mics (as I had volunteered to be music co-ordinator for Thursday rehersal).

The kids were amazing in acting. I also learn that Swamy Vivekananda influenced richest man John D Rockerfeller to donate a Million dollar to Chicago University.

Sur-Dhara was an hour long presentation on India. About 50 performers put a great performance for national, popular and contemporary songs. Choreographed by Radhika Unnithan.

One of the best performances that I saw on Day two. It was well directed and had many good things like -

• Excellent use of the whole stage
• Very nice movements inspired by classical and folk dances
• A great facial expressions (see the video) - I specifically liked Ayagiri Nandini in which Godess kills the Demon (Mahishasura)
• Popular songs and excellent audio quality
• Simple dress
• Less than 15 seconds between each songs - great utilization of time!!

It is fusion of classical dance with new audio and technology. Its like modernization of classical dance. Overall it was very professional and well presented.

What do you guys think about the performance?

Wow!! An electric performance by Wolfpack Bhangra from NC State students. The team was very energetic and kept dancing and moving around the whole stage. They had won 2nd place in the national Bhangra competition.

Hey Friends,
I am Vaani, i am writing this article to share my experience of
India Fest. My honest opinion is it was great. I have been there with my husband & daughter. First time we had great time in this country after moving here from London.
I really appreciate who ever is behind this event. I haven't seen such a beautiful, active Indian community outside India. We almost stayed in London for 3 years, i never saw this kind of activities in there. We hardly get to know people who are from India. Anyway i have participated in many activities there & appreciated by London Mayor as they also like Indian culture.

I went to India Fest around 4pm & i stayed there till 10pm.
The event was so good we couldn't get out from that stadium.
Some of the events are so good like,

1) Hindi Group Song
2) Bollywood Dances
3) Indian Tribal Fusion
4) Rock the Dance Flore
5) Dance performance by Kids & finally
6) Prashanth Tamang's performance.

I enjoyed all the events that day. I didn't want to come back home as i also met some FRIENDS from APNA TRIANGLE. They are so nice and friendly especially Kubi & family, Kavita & family.

I just tried to share my experience & feelings.
I am not a good writer, if there are any mistake please forgive me.

Hey Vaani! Was fun reading what you felt about India Fest and how much you enjoyed. N no need for forgiveness and all, you were great n you wrote from your heart, that is what is the most important. This is our website & nobody judges anybody here. And BTW you forgot to add my name in the list of "nice people" (though we never met) but am not that bad a person either.

Sorry Pritz.......for missing out your name and not catching up with you on that day....
I only mentioned who all met that
