Check date on the products before you buy.Two shops have designated corner to sell odd produts and that has expired items too.Double check sale items, as expiration date nears few products are pushed under sale banner. Frozen food is entirely new story, may be later we all can talk.

In USA it is not required to put a expiration date on a product. Please see the link below

I found this on a lawyer's website:

What Can You Do?

The first thing to do is to start looking at the expiration dates on the foods, drinks and medications you buy. Although they're not usually required to do, most manufacturers and distributors put some type of date on their products. If the item you're holding has an expiration or "best if used by" date that's already past, pick another item. If that date's coming up, figure out if you can use the entire product before the date comes.

If you see expired items on a store shelf, there are several things you can do, such as:

Tell the store's manager immediately, and follow it up later with a letter. And send a copy of it to the home office or corporate headquarters. The store manager should be able to give you the address, or you should be able to find it quickly and easily online

Contact your local Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Consumer Protection Agency

File a complaint with your state's attorney general

File a complaint with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

Try to do as many of these things as possible. At the same time, keep tabs on what's happening at the store. If you see the same expired products still on the shelf, tell the manager about it again. If the products were pulled but more expired items are on the shelves later, stop shopping at the store, and maybe even avoid the whole chain or franchise, if possible.

Have you not seen designated corners where exprired grocery items are dumped for discounted sale? Nothing new.

Why are you buying expired items? move to American stores for your need.

Thankyou for putting this up.All stores will be busying cleaning their expired products.
