Small gathering to celebrate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi
In view of extraordinary circumstances, Heritage India Association of North Carolina (HIANC) Board has decided to have only a brief celebration in observance of the 151st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on Sunday, October 4, 2020. They will assemble at 10am in the Courtyard of the HSNC Temple in Morrisville where the Gandhi Statue is located, and at 10:15am the Chief Guest will perform the garlanding ceremony and say a few words befitting the occasion. They will thereafter recite a few of Gandhi's favorite bajhans. This will be a small gathering and assembled persons will wear masks and observe social distancing.
They plan to disperse around 11am.
