Dr. Sudha Om Dhingra has been selected to receive "The Padambhushan Dr. Maturi Satyanarayan award" for 2014 by the Central Hindi Institute, Govt. of India. The award was announced at a press conference held at Press Club, New Delhi on April 24, 2015 by the Director of the Central Hindi Institute, Professor Mohan. This award is given to a person of Indian origin for promoting the Hindi language abroad through written work of exceptional quality. The award consists of Rs.100,000, a Shwal, and award certificate. The award ceremony will be held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi & the award will be given by the Honarable President of India.
Dr. Sudha Om Dhingra is the editor of Hindi Chetna, a quarterly Hindi literary magazine, published from Canada & India. She has published 18 books and contributed to 45 books. Last year she was awarded by "Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sansthan" with Videsh Prasar Samman for 2013 and "Pravasi Katha Samman" by Sapandan literary Society, Bhopal.
