Dr. Sudha Om Dhingra, a resident of Morrisville, NC, received "Dr. Maturi Satyanarayan award" from the President of India. This award is given to a person of Indian origin for promoting the Hindi language abroad through written work of exceptional quality.The award consists of Rs.100,000, a Shwal, and award certificate. The award ceremony was held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi on April 19, 2016 & the award was given by the Honorable President of India.

Dr. Sudha Om Dhingra is the editor of Vibhom Swar, a quarterly Hindi literary magazine, published from USA & India. She has published 18 books and contributed to 45 books. Last year she was awarded by "Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sansthan" with Videsh Prasar Samman for 2013 and "Pravasi Katha Samman" by Sapandan literary Society, Bhopal.
