Description:

We are happy to announce the opening of American Robotics Academy's first center of the Triangle Area at the HSNC Learning, classes starting from Monday, January 16th 2017.

It’s no secret that innovative, interactive STEM programs are critical in today’s schools. That’s why, American Robotics Academy® would like to offer your kids the opportunity to bring our robotics program to you! This program has been successfully implemented in several schools in Texas.

Headquartered in Houston, TX, American Robotics Academy aims to excite, inspire and motivate students in grades K-8 about the importance of robotics technology. Our hands-on classes offer an introduction to the fundamentals of engineering design, helping children understand “how things work.” Held in a friendly, sports-like atmosphere, students work in age-appropriate teams and learn how to design, build and test remote-controlled miniature robots. We use simple, motorized machines – all made from LEGO® bricks! – to demonstrate mechanical movements and other effects.

Together with American Robotics Academy, you can:

  • Support state and national STEM curriculum standards
  • Boost students’ imagination, creativity and confidence through activity-based challenges
  • Strengthen students’ teamwork, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Robotics Academy is currently offering the following classes at the HSNC Learning Center located at 309 Aviation Parkway, Morrisville NC 27560.

Full Day / Half Day Track Out Camps (9:00 am to 5:00 pm)

Evening Classes (6:00 pm – 7:30 pm)

Robotics Weekend (Sat – 10:00 am to 1:00 pm | Sun – 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm)

With energetic instructors providing tools and guidance along the way, students utilize LEGO® Technic pieces and parts such as axles, gears, beams, wheels, pulleys and motors. As a team, they decide and build their robot in preparation for an epic “’bot battle” held at the end of each class.

Please contact us if you’re interested in bringing American Robotics Academy to your community. We can create a customized curriculum to fit your needs – and support the goals of your community. To promote the program, we’d be happy to visit your community to present a hands-on demonstration, distribute flyers and answer any questions for the students and/or parents.

Thanks a ‘BOT, and we hope to see you during our 2017 Robotic Season!
