Hi all,

I need to see a dentist as i got some problem with one of my teeth. I dont have dental insurance since my university insurance does not cover it. I need to see the doctor ASAP before the situation gets worse even more. Can anyone suggest a decent dental doctor please...

It is quite expensive to see dentist...for little work you may end of spending few hundred dollars..till you see one just do some home remedies like applying clove oil...avoid sweets and soda,cold water...hope you feel better quick...may be you should describe your problem then people with similar experience can guide you better.

I think i got a bad teeth..i noticed something black on it today morning..it may need to be removed...there is even no pain ..

Call doctors office and explain about your situation. Tell them that you are student and you will be paying by cash. They usually reduce the cost by about 30% and some times up to 50% as they get paid immediately. You have to make sure you explain them and discuss the price even before you step into the facility.

You are not alone in not carrying a dental insurance. It usually costs around $1,000 for family per year and the maximum you can claim would be around 2,000 per year. So, many people avoid dental insurance altogether.

Knowing that you don't have an insurance, relax & don't panic. When you call the doctor, don't sound too desperate unless it's life-threatening.

Not a doctor/dentist myself, from what you mention, I don't think you need to remove the tooth right-away - it's only something black you noticed & there's no pain also. follow what LFC mentioned in an earlier reply. Clove oil is one of the best remedies for minor dental issues.
