Hindu Society of North Carolina was established in 1976. HSNC has been a foundation and the center vibrant Indian community in Triangle area. It is conveniently located in Morrisville, NC. The HSNC now has more than 1,100 members, 15 acres of land and 2 full time priests. It was started by Dr. Gangadhar Sharma, Mrs. Saroj Sharma with few other Indians.

HSNC includes a sizeable temple hall with many dieties. The temple hall is used for various small cultural activities. In addition to the temple hall, HSNC has a huge cultural hall. The HSNC cultural hall is center of most of the Indian culture functions. HSNC conducts popular culture programs like Indian Independence Day celebrations, Holi, Dashuhera, Diwali and other things. HSNC's youth committe is very active and is called 'Om Squad'. They conduct various programs and cultural activites.

Dr. Gangadhar Sharma and Mrs. Saroj Sharma recalled several stories on how HSNC organization was conceived, built and developed during their interview with Apna Triangle. The couple are still very dedicated to HSNC and helping Indian communicty strive.

3. Go for about 2 miles. You will pass Evans Rd and Clements Drive. The temple is on your right.
